Eleanor E. Asklar

Of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024, in Kenmore Mercy Hospital. She was born in  Niagara Falls, NY on July 6, 1935, the daughter of the late John and Eleanor [McCabe] Vanderhoff.  

She was the  wife of 61 years to the late Eugene Asklar, who passed away in November of 2022.

Mrs. Asklar is survived by her children John (Christina) Asklar, Elizabeth Cotrufello, Thomas (Kelli) Asklar, Susan Bilquin and William Asklar, nine grandchildren Evan (Emily), Max, Grant, Emma Kate, Sean, Emily, Jade, Jillian and Maggie,  also many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Rosemary and John (Joan) Vanderhoff.

Her family will be present on Tuesday, October 22nd from 3-7PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street LEWISTON, NY.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday  at 10AM at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary & Joseph Parish, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Site, 2499 Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY, with Rev. Stewart M. Lindsay, OSFS.

Memorials in her name, may be made to Wings Flights of Hope.

Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
