Of Pekin, NY, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025, under the care of her family and Niagara Hospice.
She was born in Buffalo, NY, on August 13, 1939, a daughter of the late Stanley and Genevieve [Granat] Sobczak. Skip along with her family, moved to Pekin 1968.
She was the head custodian with the Niagara Wheatfield School District for many years before retiring.
Skip loved spending time with and taking care of her family. In her younger days, she loved playing guitar and singing with her husband and friends. She loved crafting and sewing. also enjoyed gardening, especially roses. She was ahead of her time when it came to technology and computers, even helping kids in computer lab in the elementary school.
But mostly, she fiercely loved her family and was a very involved grandmother. A devoted catholic and member of Immaculate Conception Church.
She was married to the love of her life for 63 years to the late George R. Dubetsky, who passed away in 2021.
Skip is survived by her children Barry (There'se') Dubetsky, Jennie (Michael) Hazlett, Tracy Dubetsky and Susan (Timothy) Dunford, also seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Robert Sobczak and Barbara Lindke.
Private funeral services will be held at the wishes of her family.
Interment in Mt. View Cemetery, Pekin.
