Of the Town of Wheatfield, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024. He was born in Rome, NY, on December 12, 1933, a son of the late Jack and Jeanette [Reisfield] Franklin.
He was the founder of Franklin Traffic Service, Inc. and served as its President for 31 years until his retirement in 2000. In addition, Elliott performed volunteer work.
For many years, he was involved with the Tri-Community Ambulance Service, acting as the Vice President for five years, President for one year, a Director for 20 years, and became a Lifetime Member of the organization.
Elliott also piloted his own plane, and in this capacity he volunteered for AirLifeLine, flying low-income children and adults around the country to and from specialized medical treatments, donating his time and all expenses.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joan, his three children, Nancy, Bill (Linda), and Scott (Linda), and a step-granddaughter Lindsey (Jeremy) Ruszczyk.
Private services will be held at the wishes of his family.
Memorials may be made in his name to the Tri-Community Ambulance Service.
