Estrice Noble McCreary
Of Niagara Falls passed away on Sunday, Janaury 14, 2024, in the Buffalo Veterans Hospital. He was born in Nadawah, AL on Janaury 31, 1933, son of the late Samuel I. and Tenner [Jackson] McCreary.
He relocated, along with his family to Brewton, AL, where he attended Southern Normal school.
Mr. McCreary served in the US ARMY during the Korean War.
He was employed for the City of Detroit for many years and later worked multiple jobs, primarily in the State of Michigan, retiring from the City of Detroit in the Transportation Department.
He was the husband of 22 years Shirley N. [Richards] McCreary and husband of the late Margaret Richardson-McCreary, Earline Brown-McCreary and partner of Vera Henderson.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Estrice (Deborah) McCreary, Jr., David (Debora) Henderson, Rosita (Nelson) Thomas, stepchildren Michael, Charles and Cynthia Tomkins, Rodney Richards and a host of grand and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
He was the father of the late Terry and Duncan McCreary,brother of the late Joseph, Grover, Charles, Samuel McCreary, Mary Robinson, Calma Cook, Mattie Lucas, Emma Ewings, Macie Evans, Beatrice Carter and Doretha Stewart.
Funeral Servies were held on Friday, January 26, 2024 at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 1124 Ontario Avenue, NIAGARA FALLS, NY.
Interment in Western New York National Cemetery.
