Evellean Smith

Evellean Smith of Niagara Falls, NY,  passed away on  Friday, December 31, 2021 in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.  She was born in Georgiana, AL on January 11, 1929, the daughter of the late Worley and Essie [Crittenden] Pryor.

Mrs. Smith moved to Niagara Falls in September of 1955.   She was employed with various businesses in the area before becoming a nurses aide at Schoellkopf Health Care Center.

She was a active member of Trinity Baptist Church,  under the direction of the late Rev. Glen Raybon.

Mrs. Smith was the wife of the late Elijah Smith, who passed away in 1995.

She is survived by five sons James. E., Jim L., Melvin (Camilla), Nelson V. and Duane M.; seven daughters, Dorothy Smith,  Anitha Oke , Ethel Smith-Booze, Diane (Eddie) Burnett, Deborah (late Philip) Frank,  Kathleen Bailey and Connie Smith, two sisters Pastor Jean Boyd and Virginia Osby and Hilmer Pryor,  also many grandchildren, great, and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Smith was the mother of the late Essie L. Moore and was the sister of the late Demer, Virgis, Elmer and John Lee Pryor,  Annie and Queen Williams.

Private funeral services were held at the wishes of her family.
