Franklin "Frank" R. Robins

Franklin  R. "Frank"  Robins,  Son of Earl and Irene (Musgrove) Robins, and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather entered into rest on July 10, 2021. 

Born on August 4, 1937, Frank was a life-long resident of Niagara Falls, having met his wife, Sara Heembrock Robins, as classmates of the Niagara Falls High School class of 1956, where he was a member of the football and baseball teams. 

Frank served 6 years in the US Army Reserves, and retired as foreman from Union Carbide in 1988.   He was actively involved in local youth sports while his children played and coached; serving as a board member and past president of Whirlpool Park Little League, and president of the Niagara Falls High School Football Boosters.    Frank was inducted into the Niagara Falls Sports Hall of Fame in 2006.    He loved bowling, golfing, and especially fishing at his cottage in Ontario, Canada.  

In addition to his loving wife of 61 years, Sara, Frank is survived by his four children, Jonanthan (Gina) Robins, Mary Jo (Brian) Edwards, Irene (Marco) Viola, and Christopher (Chandra Foote) Robins.  His sister, Elizabeth Conway; and his sisters-in-law, Louise Robins, Leonora Heembrock, and Cathy Heembrock.  He enjoyed following the adventures of his 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren including: Alexandrea (Jason Seiler) Dell, Zachary Dell, Courtney (Joe) Heigl, Robert (Katie) McCann, Stephanie Robins, Abigail (Steve Matthews) Edwards, Marco Viola, Serafina Viola, Aidan Robins, Carson Robins, Mia Viola, Andrew Heigl, Hailey Heigl, Harper McCann, Jason Seiler, Hannah McCann, and Hudson McCann.

Frank was predeceased by his brothers, Stanley, Frederick and Earl  Robins, brother-in-law, Jon Heembrock and sister-in-law, Linda Heembrock.

His family will be present on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY.
Everyone is invited to attend his  Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10:00 AM at  St. Raphael Roman Catholic Parish, 3840 Macklem Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY,  with the  Rev. Ivan Skenderovic officiating.
Memorials may be made in his name to the Whirlpool Little League.
Interment in Riverdale Cemetery.
