Fred Shenk Obituary

Fred R. Shenk of the Town of Niagara,  passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021, in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, NY.  He was  born in Niagara Falls, NY on August 3, 1940, a son of the late Fred and Elaine  [Barido] Fred  Shenk.

Mr. Shenk graduated from Trott Vocational High School.   He was a tool and die maker with the Tulip Corporation for many years, before retiring in 2004.

Mr. Shenk was an avid sportsman and enjoyed being in the out doors.

He was the husband of the late Betty Ann  [Kurowski] Shenk, who passed away in August of 2000.

Mr. Shenk is survived by his children Jeffrey R. (Tanya) Shenk, Linda Shenk, Lisa (Chris) Matineck and Laurie (Brad) Halgash, grandchildren Natalle, Chase, Nicholas,  Masy, Wyatt, Teaghan, Eli, Nathan and Quinn,  a sister Judy (Charles) Gregg, brother-in law of Gerry (Dennis) Prygon and Kathy Bos, late Richard Bos. also many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Lorraine Coram and Daniel Shenk.

His family will be present on Wednesday from 4-7 PM  at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. James R. Bastian officiating.

Memorials may be made in name to the Alzheimer's Association.

Interment at Holy Trinity Cemetery Lewiston, NY.
