Gabriel Llabres

Of Grand Island, NY, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.  He was born in New York City, September 7, 1946, a son of the late John and Alpha [Garcia] Llabres.

Mr. Llabres moved to the area in 1966, where he was an HVAC technician for several years. He served with the US Army for the next 26 years, until retiring in 2006.

Mr. Llabres is survived by his wife of 36 years Moira E. [Sweeney] Llabres, by his sons Christopher (Nicole) and Anthony Llabres, stepchildren Brian, Geoff (Erin) and Corey Mahoney, Papi of Emma, Griffin, Sawyer, Axton and Lucette, his siblings Roman (late Susan) Llabres, Louisa (Avellino) Duran, Rita and the late John, Angela and Maria, also many nieces and nephews.

His family will be present on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 3-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY.

Everyone is invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 11:00 AM at St. Peter's Church, 620 Center Street. Lewiston, NY

Memorials may be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
