GARY L. SMITH, SR.

Of  Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.  He was born in Shamokin, PA on June 12, 1951, a son of the late Nancy L. Bainbridge and Chester L. Smith, Sr.

Gary grew up in Niagara Falls and was employed with Boundry Paper Mill, Whitnor Chemical, Niagara Hilton, The Comfort Inn, Nitec, St. Marys Hospital and the Seneca Niagara Casino throughout the years.

He enjoyed camping and traveling with his family and friends, going to Sabres games, the Casinos and Chinese food.

Gary is survived by his wife Catherine N. [Hermanson] Smith, his former wife Sharon Cusick, his children Chantel, Christopher and Lisa Smith, five grandchildren Hailey, Stephanie, Anthony, Michael and Brittany,  a brother David Smith, a sister Cheryl Azzinaro, sisters in law Sen and Nancy Smith, a good friend Sarah LaBarber and her grand baby Brianna, his friend Cliff Wood from Pennsylvania, also many many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was the father of the late Gary L. Smith, Jr., brother of the late Chester L. Smith,  Jr., Charles "Bubbles" and Jackie Smith and late friend John A. Human, Sr.

Funeral services will be held at a time to be announced.
