Of the Town of Cambria, NY, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025, at his home under the care of his family and Niagara Hospice. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on August 10, 1942, a son of the late Judson and Ruth [Taylor] Moote.
Jerry graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School and served with the US ARMY.
He was employed with National Grinding Wheel as a foreman for 25 years and later became a quality control technician with Exolon ESK for over 10 years.
Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and was a member of the Niagara County Sportsman Club.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Irene A. [Wienckowski] Moote, his children Gerald T. (Jennifer) Moote, Jr. and Jacquelyn (Steven) Cochran, four grandchildren Mitchell (Denise) Cochran, Taylor Cochran, Jonathan and Joseph Moote, his sister-in-law Joyce Moote, also several nieces and nephews.
Jerry was the brother of the late Judson Moote.
Private funeral services will be held at the wishes of his family.
Interment with Military Honors in Acacia Park Cemetery.
