Graham Richard Salter died on October 13, 2021 at home under the care of Niagara Hospice. Graham was born March 5, 1931 in Hinckley, England, the son of the late Evelyn and Ruby (Mayne) Salter.
An avid runner, swimmer, tennis player and skier, Graham enjoyed the family's small scale farm and spending time with family and friends.
He had an Aeronautical Engineering career spanning 3 countries and 65 years. He emigrated from England in 1956 to Montreal, Canada where he earned a Master's Degree from McGill University. From there, the family moved to Long Island in 1964. He settled at Bell Aerospace Company from 1965 to 1988 where he retired as Chief of Propulsion. He also taught Engineering at Niagara County Community College from 1985 to 2005.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Maureen (Wardlaw) Salter, his son Wallace (Debra) Salter and his daughter Gail (Bill) Warren. He has four grandchildren; Jeremy, Ashley, Brittany and Garrett and three great-grandchildren; Emmitt, Lydia and Kyber.
Private services will be held at the wishes of the family.
