Harold Leroy Ford

Harold Leroy Ford of Niagara Falls, NY, arrived safe in the arms of Jesus on January 5, 2020. He has won his lengthy battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy.  He fought the fight nobly with grace, dignity and confidence that he would be rejoicing in the presence of his Lord and Savior.

Harold was born January 14, 1945 in Berkley, CA, the son of the late Burton Leroy and Helen Louvera Ford. 

He graduated from DeAnza Jr/Sr High School in Richmond, CA in 1962 and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He was assigned to the 6313th Air Division, 6927th Security Squadron at Kadena AFB Okinawa, Japan as a Morse Intercept Operator during the Vietnam Conflict and was honorably discharged June 13, 1968 with the rank of Sergeant.

Harold met and married beloved wife Susan [Fritz] Williams in Yuma, AZ, they were married October 13, 2001. He returned with her to Niagara Falls, her hometown, in September of 2004.

He promptly became an active member at Forestview Church of God.  He proudly served and shared his precious Lord since receiving Him as his own at the age of eight.  Harold was a graduate of the Institute of Biblical Studies at Liberty University at the age of 62.  He was an ordained Chaplain and served at numerous healthcare facilities in the area until his health declined.

He is survived by his loving wife Susan, his dear daughter Jennifer Rundle and grandson Jacob Rundle of Vacaville, CA and his brother Kenneth (Patty) Ford of Yuma, AZ, also several nieces, nephews and cousins. He loved and was proud of his step family, Gregory Williams  of Buffalo, NY and Jeffrey Williams  of North Tonawanda, NY and his children Iain, Adriana and Cameron.

Harold was the  father of the late Martin Leroy Ford and  brother of the late Dale Ford and  Lucille Gray.

His family will be present on Wednesday from 4-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 1124 Ontario Aveune, NIAGARA FALLS, NY.   Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at Forestview Church of God 1250 Saunders Settlement Road, Niagara Falls, NY, with the Rev. Ronald B. Maines officiating.

Interment with Military Honors in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
