Herbert  L. "Lee" Zimmerman

Of Wheatfield, NY, passed away on  Wednesday, July 16, 2025.  He was born on October 4 1927 in Kenmore, NY, the son of the late Herbert J. and Anna (Trabert)  Zimmerman.

Mr. Zimmerman served in the US NAVY from 1946-1948.
Mr. Zimmerman was employed as an Insurance Adjuster for Continental Insurance,owned and operated a trucking business and drove school buses for the North Tonawanda School District. 

He enjoyed golfing, watching the Bills and Sabres and spending time with his grandchildren who called him "Papa Lee".

He was the loving husband of the late Barbara J. [Walbert] Zimmerman, who passed away in April of this year.

Mr. Zimmerman is survived by his children Gary (Cheryl) Zimmerman, Lynn (Robert) Blickenstaff, grandchildren Dawn (James) Schwanz, Amy (Kevin) Crofts, Robert (Priscilla Bauer) Blickenstaff, seven great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Colette (Robert) Dufort, Kathleen Zimmerman and Betty Zimmerman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on FRIDAY, AUGUST 29th at 10:30AM at Good Shepard Parish, 5442 Tonawanda Creek Rd, North Tonawanda, NY 14120.

Memorials may be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
