James F. McDonell

Of Lewiston, NY, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, in Northgate Health Care Facility.  He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on May 24, 1937, a son of the late George and  Irene [Bauer]  McDonell.

Mr. McDonell was a graduate of LaSalle High School and Niagara University.

He was the property manager of Expressway Village for over 31 years, before retiring in 2014.

Mr. McDonell volunteered with the America Red Cross as a life guard instructor trainer and also taught CPR.

He enjoyed swimming, walking and watching old movies.

Mr. McDonell was the brother of the late Alfred, Wallace McDonell, Rose Murphy and Ruth McDonell.

He is survived a niece Susan (Gary) Avise, a nephew Mark (Radona) Young, also several other nieces and nephews.

Private funeral services were held at the wishes of his family.
