Jean  M. Banks

Of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on  Tuesday, April 5, 2022, in the Erie County Medical Center.   She was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on February 22, 1928, the daughter of the late Fred W. and Mary E. [Allen] Smith.

Mrs. Banks was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School  and was a care giver to many over the years.

She was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed cross stitch, knitting, reading and playing the piano.

Mrs. Banks is survived by two children David J. Banks and Sharon (James) Hackmer, six grandchildren Melynda Banks, Tania (Brian) Pitts, Mark Hackmer, Brandon and Christopher Banks and Melanie (Richard) Grobe, eight great grandchildren, a sister Elsie (Charles) Slack, also many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Edith Rogers.

Her family will be present on Friday from 5-6 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road Sanborn, NY, where funeral services will follow at 6:00 PM, with the Rev. Curtis King officiating.

Memorials may be made in her name to the Calvary Baptist Church.
