Jean P. Kay

Of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023, in the Schoellkopf Health Center.  She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on May 13, 1926, a daughter of the late William L. and Margaret T. [Dolan] Kellick, Sr.

Jean attended Sacred Heart and St. Mary’s High School, graduating in 1944.  As a child and young adult, she spent many joy-filled summers at the family cottage in Niagara on the Lake.

She began working at the family business, Kellick’s Printing, before graduating high school.  Along with her brother Richard ”Dick” Kellick, the pair ran the business until their retirement in 2008.  Kellick’s Printing served the Niagara Falls community for over 90 years.

Jean was a member of Sacred Heart Church, and later St. Raphael’s Parish. 

She invested her free time into her community, family, and friends. She was always there to lend a helping hand and listening ear to anyone in need.  Jean’s kindness, selflessness, quick wit, and laughter will never be forgotten. She will be greatly missed.

She was the wife of the late William “Bill” Kay, who passed away in December of 1970, they were married February 2, 1959 at Sacred Heart Church.

Jean is survived by her sons, Jamie (Margaret) Robideau, and Patrick (Eileen Sullivan) Robideau, her grandchildren Erin, Katie, Eli and Linus Robideau, her sisters-in-law Donna, Joan, DeSales Kellick and Phyllis (Dr. James) Moore, also many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends, who she loved dearly.

She was the sister of the late William, John, Robert, Richard, Mary Margaret and Ruth.

Her family will be present on Thursday from 4-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 1124 Ontario Avenue, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where funeral services will be held on Friday  at 9:30 AM,  followed by a  Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Raphael Parish, 3831 Macklem Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY, with Rev. Ivan Skenderovic officiating.

Memorials may be made in her name to St. Raphael Parish.

Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Lewiston, NY.
