Of the Tuscarora Nation, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025, at his home surrounded by his children and grandchildren and the wonderful assistance from Niagara Hospice.
He was a member of the Tuscarora Turtle Clan, born in Lewiston, NY on July 20, 1935, a son of the late Stephen and Sarah [Chew] Dubuc.
Jerome served with the US Army during the Korean War as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division.
He was an IronWorker with Local # 9 for over 45 years, before retiring in 1992.
Jerome enjoyed farming and being a Jack of all trades, was always ready to help anyone in need.
Jerome was the husband of 56 years to the late Faith [Ferguson] Dubuc, who passed away in March of 2010.
He is survived by his children Evelyn (Jeffrey) Rehm, Denise Gansworth, Joyce (David) Waldeck, Ann (Douglas Bachman) Ditto, William (late Dawn) Haviland, Linda (Nathan) Capton and Dr. Stephen Dubuc, brother of Lena (late Eli) Rickard, Teresa (late Morley) Clause, Agnes (Cyril) Printup, Justine (late Edison) Mt. Pleasant, Maureen Dubuc and Michael (Rose) Dubuc, 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter, also many nieces, nephews and his special friend Bubba.
Jerome was the grandfather of the late Jasmin Dubuc, brother of the late Isabell (Duane) Anderson, Rosalia and Veronica Dubuc and Lucille Schurr.
His family will be present on Friday from 4-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY.
Everyone is invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Chapel, 5180 Chew Road, Sanborn, NY, with the Rev. Peter Calabrese officiating.
