Mr. Peak graduated from Niagara Falls High School and Queens Hospital Center School
of Nursing and the E.J. Meyer Memorial Hospital School of Anesthesia.
He served with the US Navy during the Vietnam War and graduated from the Bureau
of Medicine and Surgery of the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Peak was a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center
for over 18 years and at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital before moving to North Miami Beach, Fl, where
he was associated with the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, for over 20 years. Throughout his career,
he was held in high regard and was requested by surgeons and parents of pediatric patients,
before retiring in 2005. After his retirement, he moved back to Niagara Falls to be closer to his
family.
He was a member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetist, the New York State of
Nurse Anesthetist and the Florida State Association of Anesthetist.
Mr. Peak enjoyed playing the piano and reading.
He is survived by his children Robert Peak, Amy Peak and Jennifer (John) Stewart, four
grandchildren Kristian LaMothe, Jordan Fears, Ryan and Reilly Stewart, cousins Gordon,
Lloyd and Leonard Brennan, also several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Peak was the brother of the late Willard Peak and Margaret White.
His family will be present on Friday from 11-1:00 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME,
1124 Ontario Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM with
the Rev. Matthew Kofahl officiating.
Memorials may be made in his name to the Niagara SPCA.
