JO ANN KANTNER

Formerly of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Tuesday,  March 28, 2023, in Sarasota, FL. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY,  on February 11, 1943, a daughter of the late Peter and Evelyn [Ayers]  Curione.

Jo Ann had a successful career in human resources at the New York Power Authority in Lewiston. During that time, she was recognized as the local and state employee of the year.

After retirement, Jo Ann enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was also an avid reader and loved doing crosswords and various other word puzzles.

Jo Ann will be remembered by her family and friends as being loving, kind, caring, and a great listener, as well as always providing heartfelt advice.

Jo Ann is survived by her loving husband of thirty-five years, Donald Kantner,  her children  Peter (Nicole) Trapasso, James Trapasso, Adrienne (Brad) Waugh, and Tennille (Frank) Brill, lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Leah, Austin, Dylan, Chloe, Ava, Bradley Jr., Ily, and Frankie, as well as her siblings Peter (Claire) Curione, Philip Curione, Charlie (Kathy) Curione, Louise (Mike) Kent, and Pat (Cindy) Curione, also many nieces and nephews.

Her family will be present on Saturday, April 15, 2023, from 1-3 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM.
