Joan Van Den Bosch

Joan Van Den Bosch of Ransomville entered into rest Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Newfane Rehabilitation Center after a lengthy illness. She was born in Olean, NY on July 18, 1938 the daughter of the late John Case and Bertha (Brockel) Kaegebein.

For many years,  Joan and her husband of fifty-five years Paul (deceased) raised horses on a farm on Ridge Road.  She had been employed at Walmart in Niagara Falls for fifteen years prior to her retirement

Joan is survived by her son John C. (Stacy) Van Den Bosch  of North Tonawanda, Granddaughters April Van Den Bosch (Evan) of Lewiston and Gina Bax of North Tonawanda, one great-granddaughter Laila who was her pride and joy, a sister Esther (Ken) Slaugenhoupt of Lewiston, also several nieces and nephews.

She was also predeceased by her older sister Mary Jane  (Lorenzo)Rodriguez .

Joan will always be remembered for her love of family as well as animals, big and small.    Her prior work at the Niagara County ASPCA was special to her and in lieu of flowers,  donations to that cause on her behalf, will be gratefully received.
