Joan "Sue" S. O'Hara

Of  Niagara Falls, NY,  passed away on August 20, 2025. She was born in Buffalo, NY on May 12, 1932, daughter of the late Joseph and Isabel [Reardon] O'Hara.

She graduated from D'Youville College and taught in North Tonawanda for 5 years and then went to Dallas, TX for a year.  After returning back to Niagara Falls, she taught at various schools in Niagara Falls and retired from Maple Avenue School in 1987.

She enjoyed gardening.

Miss O'Hara is survived by her brother Peter (Patricia) O'Hara, many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Sr. Helen O'Hara,  Sr. Mary Margaret O'Hara both Grey Nuns and Julie (George) Waggoner.

Friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Monday August 25, 2025 at 1PM at St. Mary of the Cataract Church, 237 Fourth Street, Niagara Falls, NY.  

Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
