JOHN E. "JACK" MORAN, SR.
Of Hurricane, WV, formerly of Clarence and East Amherst, NY, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023. He was born in Oswego, NY on May 4, 1928, a son of the late John E. and Anastasia [Murphy] Moran.
He grew up in Niagara Falls, NY, where he attended parochial schools. After graduating from Holy Cross College in Worcester, MA, he served during the Korean War in the US Air Force.
Mr. Moran was employed as a credit manager for Sears Roebuck, and Company, retiring in 1992.
He was a former member of Our Lady of Peace in Clarence and played in the German American Musicians Konzert Kapelle.
He was the husband of the late Victory Ann McIntyre, Josephine Genco Timineri, and Gladys Holland.
Mr. Moran is survived by his children Margaret, Kathleen, John Jr., Gerard (Colleen) and Peter (Jackie) Moran, stepchildren Deborah Timineri, Lisa (John) Kuloszewski, Randal (Bonnie) Harris, a sister Nancy (late Richard) Nichols, fifteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was the father of the late Mary Ellen and brother of the late: James (Loretta) and Joseph (Sheila) Moran and Marilynn (Tom) Cunningham.
His family will be present on Friday from 3-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY. Everyone is invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10:00 AM at St. Raphael Parish, 3831 Macklem Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY, with the Rev. Ivan Skennderovic officiating.
Interment with Military Honors in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
