Judith "Judi" H. Sroka

Judith “Judi” H. Sroka of Lewiston, NY, passed away on June 2, 2022 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY.   She was born Judith Hope Close on May 6, 1939 in Niagara Falls, NY and was the daughter of the late Joseph E. Close and Hope E.(Hart) Rick.

She graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1957.  In June of 1975, Judi married her beloved husband, Bob.  They moved to Lewiston, NY where they shared 47 years.

Judi retired from the Carborundum Company after more than 30 years.  She worked as a Computer Tape Librarian and a Systems Analyst.   She enjoyed crocheting , knitting, playing golf, skiing , bowling, skating and mahjong with her friends.  Judi loved listening to music.  Judi and Bob traveled throughout the United States with their trailer visiting family and friends who she loved very much.

She is survived by her husband Robert J Sroka, son Jeffrey(Jeanne)Frescino, grandsons John (Valeria) and Joseph (Rachel); granddaughters Jeanette(Cody)McElroy and Jessica (Isaac) Valarezo; great-grandchildren Giana,Jason, Aria, Jolie, and Joseph.  Also survived by sister-in-law Carole(William)Filipiak,  nephews, nieces, and cousins.

She was the sister of the late Arthur (Gloria)Close, Timothy Close and  Karen (Jerry) Martin.

Her family will be present on Saturday from 10-11 AM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY, with funeral services to follow at 11:00 AM.

Interment in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Cheektowaga, NY.
