Julia Harrigan Obituary


Of Niagara Falls, NY passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 23, 2025.  She was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on December 20,1941, daughter of the late Clinton J. and Catherine F. (Murphy) Kilmer.

Mrs. Harrigan was employed as Special Education Aide with the Niagara Falls Board of Education.

Mrs. Harrigan was the wife of the late Edward Harrigan who passed away in 2023.

She is survived her children Michele (Mark) Mergeler,  Patrick (Angie) Harrigan and Brian (Michele) Harrigan, grandchildren Andrew and Katie, great-grandchildren Jasmine and Elijah,  brother Leo (Julia) Kilmer, John (late Maryanne) Kilmer, James Kilmer, also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Mary (Robert) Donoughe.

Visitation on Tuesday, July 29th from 3-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 1124 Ontario Avenue, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Everyone is invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM on Wednesday at St. Vincent dePaul Parish, St. Leo Church, 2748 Military Road Niagara Falls, NY.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to her niece and caregiver Anne Marie Fowle, nephew Bill Barto and special thank you to her grandson Andrew.

Mrs. Harrigans's family would like to thank the aides, nurses and special activities dept. at Schoellkopf for their compassionate care.

Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
