Karen L. Feathers

Of Youngstown, NY, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024 at her home under the care of her family and Niagara Hospice.  She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on February 14, 1944, the daughter of Andrew and Theresa [Slate] Cardwell.

Karen was a graduate of Niagara Wheatfield and was a custodian with Lew-Port Schools for 29 years, before retiring.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and at her cottage in the 1,000 Islands.

Karen is survived by her life partner of 42 years  Jerry Whitmer, her children Vicki M. [ Dennis ] Feathers-Bell, Andrea L. (Matt) Fantrazo and Paul M. (Nichole) Feathers, Jr., her son in law Fran Bue, four grandchildren Christina Feathers, Joshua Bell, Jared Feathers and Gracie Bell, her sister Patricia (Paul) Hammerton and best friend Beverly Arcuri, her dog Prince, also many nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late Theresa "Terri"  Feathers and sister to the  late Andrew "Buddy" Cardwell,  Shirley Gleaton, Betty Seward, Jean Steward and Dorothy Smerno.

Private funeral services were held at the wishes of her family.

Memorials may be made in her name to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY  14094.
