Kathleen (Szalach) Zornes Obituary

Kathleen M. (Szalach) Zornes of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2019, at her home. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on May 16, 1951, the daughter of the late Roman "Ray" and Carrie "Honey" [Deuro] Szalach.

Mrs. Zornes graduated from Niagara Falls High School and the Kelly Business School. She was a bus monitor with the Niagara Wheatfield School District for over 22 years before retiring.

Mrs. Zornes was a Girl Scout Leader and had coached soccer. She enjoyed doing crafts, going to BINGO and taking care of her flower and vegetable gardens.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Larry E. Zornes, one son Jared M. Zornes, two daughters Kristina M. (Joseph) Tate and Jessica L. Zornes, two sisters Diane (John) Krecisz and Carol Szalach, also several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Zornes was the mother of the late Jill Margaret.

Her family will be present on Thursday from 4-6 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, with Funeral Services to follow at 6:00 PM.
