Kenneth J. Bunford

Of  Niagara Falls, NY, passed away Monday, June 8, 2026, in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital.  He was born in Lancaster, England, on May 6, 1941, the son of the late Kenneth and Dorothy [Dennison] Bunford.

Mr. Bunford moved to the United States with his family in 1947.

He was a graduate of LaFayette High School and Buffalo State Teachers College.

Mr. Bunford served with the US Army during the Vietnam War.

He was a supervisor with the Erie County Department of Social Services for over 50 years before retiring.

Mr. Bunford enjoyed traveling with his granddaughter, watching game shows and listening to classical music.

He was the husband of the late Ellen M. [Purpura] Bunford, who passed away in October of 2021.

Mr. Bunford is survived by his children David (Cheryl Lopez)  and Susan (John Wall) Bunford, a granddaughter Colby Wall, also several nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Eric Bunford.

His family will be present on Saturday, June 13, 2026 from 11-12:00 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services with military honors will be held at 12:00 PM.

Interment in Elmlawn Cemetery.
