Laurence Pude Obituary

Laurence "Larry" A. Pude

Larry Pude, affectionately known as "Mr. Warmth" for his quick wit and signature deadpan humor, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 4, 2025, in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. He was 83 years young. Born on June 21, 1941, in Waterford, Pennsylvania, to the late Albert S. and Reva (McLallen) Pude.

Larry’s life was marked by steadfast dedication and quiet strength. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and later settled in the Town of Cambria, building a life grounded in love, service, and community alongside his cherished wife and daughter.

Larry worked as a UPS driver for 33 years, achieving the incredible milestone of over three decades of accident-free driving. Along his familiar route through Lockport and eastern Niagara County, he became a beloved figure, known to many for his reliability and good-natured banter.

A member of the Cambria Volunteer Fire Company for over 53 years, Larry was a valued presence, serving most recently as fire police. His contributions to the community reflected his deep commitment to service and camaraderie.

While he enjoyed hunting, golfing, and winters in Florida, Larry’s greatest joy was time spent with his cherished wife of 48 years, Suzanne, and their daughter, Michele. The bond shared between the three of them was extraordinary, defined by unwavering love, mutual respect, and countless fond memories.

In addition to his wife and daughter, Larry is survived by his twin sister, Laurene (Marty) Tomcho; his son-in-law Michael Moran; grandchildren Jasmine, Meadow, and Aysia Moran, Autumn (Christopher) Kinney, and great-grandson Ronin Michael. Many extended family members and friends spanning decades will cherish his memory. He also leaves behind his beloved grand-dogs, Tukow and Penny, who brought him much joy.

Larry was predeceased by his daughter Lynne Kuehn and is also survived by his son Laurence Pude,Jr., from a previous marriage. He is further survived by his grandchildren Jamie and David Kuehn, Hunter Pude, and one great-grandchild from this side of the family.

Larry’s warm spirit and quiet strength left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him, and he will be deeply missed.
