LEO SWANSON

Of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Tuesday,  December 19, 2023 at his residence. He was born in Little Rock, AR,  on October 30, 1947, a son of the late Charles and Leathia [Dailey] Swanson.

Mr. Swanson moved to Niagara Falls in the 1950's and was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School in 1965.

He was employed with Olin Chemical before becoming a technician specialist with Moore Research, for over 22 years.  While with Moore, he owned several patents and received many awards for his work with the company.

He was a former member of Grace Calvary Church where he actively worked with youth groups.

Mr. Swanson was an avid fisherman and enjoyed woodworking, photography and cars.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Patricia A. [Hamilton] Swanson, his children Erik (Joleen), Paul (Katrina), Jordan and Joel Swanson, Sharon (Craig) Marten and Hope (Chad Heitzl) Swanson, a brother Charles Swanson, Jr., godfather of Aman Washington,  a sister in law of Leola  Hamilton, his uncle Roosevelt Swanson, his aunt Patricia Ann Swanson, also ten grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

His family will be present on Friday from 11-12 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 1124 Ontario Ave., NIAGARA FALLS, NY, followed by funeral services at 12:00 PM.

Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made in his name to the Niagara Gospel Mission.

Interment in Riverdale Cemetery.
