Linda J. Hill

Bear Clan Mother, of the Tuscarora Nation, passed away October 7, 2024.  She was a member of the Bear Clan born October 13, 1944, the daughter of the late Harry and Flora [Hewitt] Jacobs.

Linda was graduate of Niagara Wheatfield and had worked for various businesses in the area.

In 2003, she was raised up as a Bear Clan Mother which she remained for the rest of her life.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, doing beadwork, playing cards and dice.

Linda is survived by her husband Richard Hill, Sr., her children Tatiana Rice, Jesse, Richard, Jr., and Rose Hill, five grandchildren Jaren, Joslin, Kyle, Haley and Teya, one great grandson Gabryil, a sister Karen (late David) Enloe, also many nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late Travis Hill and sister of the late Roy, Alecia, Loren, Harry, Jr., Reuben, Roger, Kevin, Gini and Loretta Jacobs.

Friends may call on Tuesday after 6:00 PM  and all day on Wednesday at the family home 2235 Mt. Hope Road, Sanborn, NY, where Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM, followed by services  at 11:00 AM at the Longhouse, 1930 Mt. Hope Road.
Interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery on the Tuscarora Nation.
