Lois M. MacIver of Florence, SC, formerly of the Town of Wheatfield, entered into rest of Wednesday, December 11, 2019. She was born on May 17, 1931 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Percy and DeEtta Bates.
Lois was an extremely talented seamstress and enjoyed making gowns and costumes throughout her years. When she moved to Florence she continued sewing and created bags and purses from repurposed burlap coffee bean sacks which she sold through various craft shows.
She very much enjoyed traveling back to WNY to visit her children and grandchildren.
Lois was the wife of the late Kenneth MacIver, who passed away on April 29, 2007.
She is survived by three sons, Steven (Holly), Kevin (Ruth) and Brian MacIver, five grandchildren, Tara (Christopher) Marra, Janelle (Mike) Rosenberry, Kenneth (Michelle) MacIver, Ethan (Alexa) MacIver and Noah (Emily) MacIver, eight great grandchildren, a brother Jack (Melanie) Bates and several nieces and nephews.
Lois was the grandmother of the late Lindsay R. MacIver, who passed away in July 2004 and a late brother Robert Bates.
Her family will be present on Friday from 4-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, followed by Funeral Services at 7:00 PM, with the Rev. Dr. Robert J. Frank officiating.
Memorials may be made in her name to Courage of Carly Fund.
