Lois Walker Obituary

Lois M. Walker of North Tonawanda, NY, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at Harris Hill Nursing Facility. She was born in Lockport, NY, on July 20, 1930, a daughter of the late Martin and Mildred [Cornell] Volls.

Mrs. Walker graduated from Wilson High School in 1949 and remained an active member of the school's alumni association.

She was employed as an office manager with Westinghouse in Cheektowaga for many years.

Mrs. Walker was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Parish in North Tonawanda, NY.

She was the wife of the late Richard Walker who passed away in 1975 and dear friend of Robert North who passed away in 2017.

Mrs. Walker was the mother of Bonnie (James) Fritz and Donna Walker, six grandchildren Kristin (Timothy) Pitts, Allissa Justin) Halderman, Andrew Aki, Alexander (Alicia) Aki, Megan (Michael) Dillon and Ryan (Alyson) Fritz, twelve great grandchildren, sister in law of Nancy (Richard) Reak and Ronald (Kay) Kaiser and was the aunt of Marty R. Volls and Jayne (Douglas) Lloyd. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Martin Volls.

Her family will be present on Saturday from 10-11:00 AM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, Sanborn, followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. James Kirkpatrick officiating.

Memorials may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association, 6215 Sheridan Drive, Buffalo, NY 14221.

Interment at North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria, NY.
