Lula Bell Elder of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 17, 2021, in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, NY. She was born in Dozier, AL, on June 22, 1940, the daughter of the late Lula Mae (Matthews) Elder and Thomas Culver.
Ms Elder moved to Niagara Falls in the late 1950's.
She was employed at the Niagara Falls Air Force Base and the Lockport Air Force Station during the 1960's and 1970's as a civil service worker, also at Harrison Radiator in Lockport and later as a nurses assistant at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for 17 years, before retiring.
Ms Elder was an active member of Word of Life Ministries.
She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed playing BINGO and traveling.
Ms Elder is survived by her children Jeffrey (Vicki) Elder, Darleen (late Randy E.) Sanders and Mary D. Elder, her dear friend Willie George Johnson, two brothers Jeff and Willie(Vivian) E. Elder, four sisters Ida Bell Elder, Tommie Lee King, Louise Blissett and Versie Lee (Jimmie) Davis , also 8 grandchildren, many great and great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her grand pup, Boss.
She was the sister of the late James E., Willie N. and Nell J. Elder.
Her family will be present on Wednesday from 3-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 1124 Ontario Avenue, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11-12 PM at Word of Life Ministries, 1941 Hyde Park Blvd. Niagara Falls, NY, where Home Going services will be held at 12:00 PM, with Bishop Jesse Scott officiating.
Memorials may be made in her name to the Word of Life Ministries.
