Margaret M. Dineen (Peggy) of Lewiston, NY passed away Friday, June 6th, in Our Lady Of Peace Nursing Care Residence. Peggy was born in Niagara Falls, NY on January 18, 1925, the daughter of the late Timothy C. Dineen and Margaret (Moynihan) Dineen.
She attended Sacred Heart School and graduated from Stella Niagara in 1944 and went on to attend the Kelly Business Institute.
Peggy spent the majority of her career at Hooker Chemical, which became Occidental Petroleum. She began her time at Hooker Chemical as the Human Resource Administrator and retired in 1982 as the Manager of Benefits Administration.
She was a member of the former Sacred Heart Church, St Raphael Parish and Stella Niagara Alumni Association. Peggy actively supported the churches and Stella Niagara until her Illness.
She was the sister of the late, Charles, Eugene, John and William Dineen and is survived by 7 nieces and nephews; Ann Gombos (William), William Dineen (Claudia), Mary Procknow (Gene), Jean Dineen, Timothy Dineen (Susan), Catherine Dineen and John Dineen.
Peggy was an angel among us. Everyone who knew her felt the warmth of her love. Her nieces, nephews and their spouses feel blessed to have called her "Aunt Peggy".
Everyone is invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, June 14th at 10:00 AM at St Peter’s Church, 620 Center Street, Lewiston, NY.
Memorials may be made in her name to Stella Niagara Education Park.
Internment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
