MARILYN G. LICHT

Of Sanborn, NY, passed away on  Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Northgate Health Care Facility. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on December 12, 1928, a daughter of the late Wilbur E. and Helen [Albertson] Treichler.

Mrs. Licht was employed with the W.E. Treichler Greenhouses, in Sanborn, Jones Flower Shop and Glar Ban both  in Tonawanda,  before retiring as a home health care Aide in 1993.

She was the  church organist for many churches throughout the area.

Mrs. Licht was a foster grandmother at Errick Road School from 1994 until 1999.

She enjoyed socializing, reading, Bible study and traveling.

She was the wife of the late John A. Licht, Jr. and Donald W. Truesdell.

Mrs. Licht is survived by three sons  James P. (Marta),  Joel W. (Elizabeth)  and Jerald D. (Robin) Truesdell, a daughter in law Ann Truesdell, her brother Wilbur E. (late Janice) Treichler, a sister Sandra Armitage, eight grandchildren. thirteen great grandchildren, also many  nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late Rev. John Truesdell.

Her family will be present on Friday, February 3rd from 10-12 PM  at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, Sanborn, NY, where funeral services will follow at 12:00 PM.

Memorials may be made in her name to St. John's Lutheran Church.

Interment in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria, NY.
