Mary A. Smith-Benn

Of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025, in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.  She was born in Greenville, Alabama, on October 5, 1949, a daughter of the late Clinton and Mary [Maye] Smith.

Mrs. Benn moved to Niagara Falls, NY as a child with her family in the 1950's.

She was employed at DeVeaux Manor for many years.

Mrs. Benn enjoying taking care of her family, cooking, baking, watching soap operas and going to the Casino.

She is survived by her husband Lawrence Benn, her daughter Ann Marie Smith, five grandchildren Kenneth Miller, Jerome Wright, Antonio Smith, Shadeidra  and Gabreille Wright,  her siblings Clemmie (Tracy) Smith, Clinton (Wanda) Smith,  Zettie ( late Charles) Perry,  Lola (Charles) McCreary and Elanie Smith, a special niece and nephew Kasmir Williams and Kayshad Johnson, also many other nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Linnon, Lee, John, Altha and Marvin Smith.

Her family will be present on Friday, August 8, 2025, from 11-12:00 PM at Potter's House  Christian Church, 723 7th Street, Niagara Falls, NY, followed by her Home Going Service at 12:00 PM.

Interment in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
