Michael P. O'Grady, Sr.

Michael P. O'Grady, Sr.  of Sanborn, NY,  passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022, in Niagara Hospice House, Lockport, NY.   He was born in Buffalo, NY, on August 21, 1945, a son of the late George and Marion (Burton) O’Grady.

Mr. O’Grady served with the US Marine Corp during the Vietnam War.   He had owned and operated J & M Auto Clinic and the Jag Shop for many years, and retired from Harrison Radiator in Lockport.

Mr. O’Grady bowled (37) 300 games and was a member of the Lockport Bowling Hall of Fame.   He was also an avid golfer, and he was the Club Champion at Niagara Frontier Golf Club.  His other hobbies included restoring cars.

He was the husband of the late Lucille (Drake) and Patricia A. (McPhail) O’Grady.

Mr. O’Grady is survived by his children, Michael O’Grady, Jr. and Tammy (Erik) Higner; two grandsons, Ryan O’Grady and Ian Higner and was the brother of Tim and Sheila O’Grady; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

His family will be present on Tuesday from 3-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Rd., Sanborn, NY, where Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 10 AM, with the Rev. Matthew Kofahl officiating.

Interment with Military Honors in Elmlawn Cemetery.
