MILTON J. LINDSAY, JR.
Of Youngstown, NY, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at the Wheatfield Commons. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 13, 1931, son of the late Milton J. and Mary [Rick] Lindsay, Sr.
Mr. Lindsay moved to Niagara Falls, NY with his family in 1941 and was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School.
He served with the US Navy during the Korean War.
After returning from the service, he joined his families business Lindsay News & Photo and became co-owner with his brother Robert for the next 40 years, before retiring in 1996.
He was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #247, a member of Niagara Frontier Golf Club and volunteered at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital for many years and was an avid Yankees fan.
Mr. Lindsay was the husband of the late Mary [Williams] Lindsay, who passed away in 1999.
He is survived by his children William and Milton Lindsay and Rhonda (Kevin) O'Shea, grandsons John (Ashley) and Nicholas (Alyssa) Cummings, Michael (Kelsey) O'Shea and John Flaming, granddaughters Angela (Steve) Klutkowski, Lorraine and Jamie Lindsay and Nicki Flaming, also nine beloved great grandchildren.
He was the grandfather of the late Matthew Cummings and brother of the late Robert Lindsay.
His family will be present on Friday from 4-7 at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY.
Everyone is invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 12:30 PM at St. Bernard's Church, 218 Hinman Street, Youngstown, NY, with Rev. Cole Webster officiating.
Memorials may be made in his name to the Parkinson Foundation or to Niagara Hospice.
