Neal R. Mort

Neal R. Mort  of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on  Friday, August 21, 2020 at his home under the care of his family and Niagara Hospice.   He was born in the Town of Niagara on December 9, 1936, the son of the late Harold and Marie [Ruffner] Mort.

Mr. Mort served with the US Marines during the Korean War. He was a ground and maintenance foreman with the Niagara Falls Board of Education for over 30 years before retiring. 

Mr. Mort was well known around the area for painting houses and businesses.

He loved gardening in his vegetable and flower garden and enjoyed riding his bike.

Mr. Mort is survived by his wife of 62 years Judith A. [Quinn] Mort, four daughters Mary (David) Schaffer, Kathleen (James) Pinkham, Kari (Bruce) Clendenen and Ada (Jeff) Bishop, a brother James (Geraldine) Mort, a sister Sally (Floyd) Dolson and was the brother in law of Paul (Maryann) Quinn. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was the father of the late Timothy R. Mort and  several late brothers and sisters.

His family will be present on Tuesday from 4-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY.
