Nerea Slade Sharpsteen

Of the Town of Porter, passed away on Thursday, April 10,2025, at Niagara Hospice House, Lockport, NY.  He was born in Augusta, GA, on January 9, 1960 the son of Sharon [Brunning] (Clyde) Busch and the late Nerea Sharpsteen.

Slade moved to the area with his family as a youth and was a graduate of Roy-Hart High School. 

He started Sharp Printing in Sanborn in 1984 which he continued to operate with his son.

Slade has always had a deep interest in horses and for playing polo.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Joanne [Kirkland] Sharpsteen, children Justin and Austin (Rebecca) Sharpsteen, Aaron (Aarika) Morrison and Sarah (Daniel) Walker, two grandchildren Nora and Ansley, his siblings Brandon (Dawn) Sharpsteen,  Daniel (Addy) Busch, Laura (Michael) Schul and Brenee (David) McKinney, also many nieces and nephews.

His family will be present on Monday, April 14th, from 11-1:30 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, followed by funeral services at 1:30 PM.

Memorials may be made in his name to Niagara Hospice.

Interment in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria.
