Nyla Anne Klein

Nyla Anne Klein ,77,  of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2020, at Northgate Health Care Facility.  Born in Lockport, Nyla was the daughter of the late Harry and Jane Tomkinson. 

Nyla graduated from Lockport Senior High School and Bryant & Stratton Business School.  In addition to working as a licensed hair stylist for many years, Nyla also worked as a secretary in the Special Programs Office at Starpoint Central School for 23 years.

Nyla was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of North Tonawanda and was active with the Women of St. Paul's.  She was also a past member of the Shawnee Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

She loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Emma, who was the light of her life and she enjoyed baby-sitting Emma for several years after her retirement.  She also enjoyed cooking and baking, doing arts and crafts and hairdressing.

Nyla is survived by her husband of 47 years, Roy Klein, two sons Michael (MaryEllen) Klein and Jeffrey Klein, her granddaughter Emma Klein,  a brother John Tomkinson, also many nieces and nephews.  Nyla was the sister of the late David Tomkinson and Shirley Layer.

The family would like to extend its sincere thanks to the staff at Northgate Health Care Facility for taking such wonderful care of Nyla during her time there.

Funeral services will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made in Nyla's name to Hospice at Jeanne's House, Northgate Health Care Facility, 7264 Nash Road, N. Tonawanda, NY 14120.
