Patricia "Tootie" M. Chew

PATRICIA M. "TOOTIE" CHEW

Of the Tuscarora Nation, passed away on  Friday, February 10, 2023, in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, NY.   A member of the Snipe Clan of the Seneca Nation,  she was born in Niagara Falls, NY,  on March 27, 1942, a daughter of the late Louise (Jones)  and Donald  Jack.

She attended Trott Vocational High School.

Tootie moved to Greensburg, PA in 1978, where she became a real estate agent for over 30 years, before moving back to the Tuscarora Nation in 2018.  

She was active with the youth programs at the Tuscarora Baptist Church.

Tootie was the wife of the late Edward Chew, who passed away in 1985.

She is survived by her children Darren Chew and Dana (Joseph) Lynn, grandchildren Kendall, James, Ava, Derek, Tiffany, Travis and Ariel, along with several others, a sister Elaine (Mike) McGrath, also many nieces and nephews. 

Tootie was the sister of the late Frances Jacobs, Cynthia Antone, Donald L." Jack and mother of late Vincent Chew.

The family will be present on Tuesday from 2-3 PM at the Tuscarora Baptist Church,  2088 Mt. Hope Road, Sanborn, NY, followed by funeral services at 3:00 PM, with the Rev. Walter A. Printup  officiating.

Interment in St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg, PA
