Paul M. "Fitz" Fitzgerald
Of Lewiston, NY, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022, at his residence under the care of his family and Niagara Hospice. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on April 2, 1938, the son of the late George and Josephine [Billesberger] Fitzgerald.
Mr. Fitzgerald graduated from Bishop Duffy High School in 1956. He served with the Army Reserve during the 1960's. Mr. Fitzgerald was a foreman with New York Telephone, which became AT&T for 35 years and retired as a manager in 1990. After retiring, he started his own home remodeling business and was well known for his excellent craftsmanship. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed being in the outdoors. Mr. Fitzgerald was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Marlene A. [Brown] Fitzgerald, his children Michael (Kelly) and Patrick (Lisa) Fitzgerald and Colleen (John) Daly, five grandchildren Sullivan (Grace) Fitzgerald, Ryleigh (Matthew) Limina, Mackenna and Connor Daly, Dillon Fitzgerald and a great granddaughter Lily Limina, also many nieces and nephews.
His family will be present on Tuesday from 3-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY.
Everyone is invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 9:30 AM at St. Peter's Church, 620 Center Street, Lewiston, NY.
Flowers are gratefully declined, memorials may be made in his name to Niagara Hospice or to the charity of one's choice.
Interment with military honors in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
