PEGGY M. ROSE

Of Lewiston, NY passed away April 4, 2022. She was born in Batavia, NY on December 5, 1939, daughter of the late Joseph Rose  and  Virginia (Cahill) Rose.

Peggy earned her bachelor’s and 2 master’s degrees from Niagara University and was an English teacher in the Niagara Falls School System for over 30 years. 

Peggy loved reading and her books, of which she collected many. She also loved to tend to her garden and her rose bushes, of which she was so proud. Peggy was also an avid family genealogist, having traced her family’s roots back several centuries, a joy she shared with many family members and friends over the years.  Her faith and family were everything to her, and she shared that love with everyone she knew.

She was the mother of the late Jennifer Lapisardi who passed away in 2000. She is survived by her beloved granddaughter Megan, her dear friend Jerry Norgiel, and numerous other cousins with whom she was so close.  

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, April 12 at 10AM St. Peter's Church, 620 Center St., Lewiston, NY.

Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
