Philip Frank Obituary

Philip B. Frank, age 79, was born on March 4, 1941 in Niagara Falls, NY the son of the late Robert & Inez Frank.  He transitioned this life peacefully on Saturday, January 20, 2021, in the comfort of his home.

Philip attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High school where he was once a stand out athlete of the track & football teams.   In his early years,  Philip worked for the International Paper Company in North Tonawanda and was also employed at Carborundum, later he was employed by the City of Niagara Falls for many years until his retirement.

Philip served full-term (61-64), with the rank of Private First Class as a Military Policeman in the United States Army.

He was the second Great-Grandson of Josiah Henson, an American/Canadian abolitionist.    Philip was also a member of the Black Pioneers Organization where he was the past president.

Philip loved the Lord and joined Trinity Baptist Church at an early age.  In the fall of 2019, he re-dedicated his life to Christ and began attending True Deliverance Temple.   He was joined in holy matrimony to Deborah A. Smith on August 26, 2000.

Philip enjoyed the study of anthropology, playing his guitar, drawing, watching football, participating in community activities, and spending time with family and friends.

Philip leaves to mourn his passing: His wife Deborah of 21 years, Ten sons, Brad (Casandra), Saladin, Corey & Anthony Frank, Remond Bowyer, Robert & Roderick Smith, Christian Robinson all of Niagara Falls; Terence (Katrell) Robinson of Lockort, NY,  Two Daughters, Heidi Frank of Buffalo, Kelly (Lennon) Turner of New Jersey: One Sister, Denise (Wanzo) Wallace of Atlanta, GA. 22 Grand-children and 9 Great Grandchildren.

He will forever be missed by his God-daughter, a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Philip was pre-deceased by his parents, one son Casey, who suddenly died on the evening of February 20, 2021, three brothers and two sisters.

Private Funeral Services were held at the wishes his famiy.
