It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Phyllis Kellick Moore on September 25, 2025 who left this world surrounded by family in Charlotte, N.C. Phyllis was born December 6, 1934 in Stratford, Ontario, Canada and was very proud of her Canadian heritage.
Phyllis lived a full life in her 90 years.
She married her first husband, Robert J. Kellick, the love of her life, with whom she built a beautiful family. When he passed away way too soon, she carried on with remarkable courage as a widow at forty, raising their four children with unwavering love and determination.
In 1990 Phyllis was blessed to find love again when she married Dr. James P. Moore. Together they shared 35 wonderful years filled with laughter, love, companionship and cherished memories. They enjoyed golfing, travelling, playing cards, and “when the sun is over the yardarm”.
Phyllis enjoyed a good book and the quiet beauty of tending her garden, and the challenge of a good game of Scrabble, (who not even a grandchild was allowed to win). She treasured her family whose love was the heart of her life and her Catholic faith. Mom will be remembered for her strength, her wonderful sense of fashion, her quick wit and story telling.
She leaves behind her loving husband James P. Moore, her children, Elizabeth Kellick Touroul (Gerard Touroul), Robert B. Kellick (Amy Kellick), Carol Kellick Palillo (Anthony Palillo), Diane Kellick Palmer (Matthew Palmer). Her step daughters Elizabeth Moore Pascall (Umberto Pascall), Anne Marie Moore, Cathleen Moore-Mordkoff (Toby Mordkoff) and her stepson the late Billiam Moore. Her eight grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews who will carry her legacy in their hearts.
A celebration of her life will be held on Monday November 10, 2025. The family will receive friends and family at 10AM. at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 218 Hinman St.,Youngstown, NY, followed by a 10:30AM Mass of Christian Burial.

Please join the family for a luncheon at Griffon Brewery and Gastropub, 112 S. Water St., Lewiston, NY. following the interment.
