PRESIDENT "Tunk" "Tom" MYLES, JR. of Niagara Falls, NY passed away September 12, 2023. He was born on October 20, 1942, in Uniontown (Perry County), Alabama, the son of the late President, Sr. and Margaret (Pitts) Myles.
Mr. Myles was a great self-skilled fabricator and entrepreneur. In the late 60’s, in Mobile, Alabama, he started as an awesome mechanic and paint and body work. Furthermore, to his legacy, he owned and operated, Myles Auto Reclaim in Niagara Falls, New York.
In his leisure, he enjoyed watching boxing and the news. He believed in hard work. 24 hours in a day; 8 hours to work, 8 hours to rest and 8 hours to play. However, in reality it was 16 hours to work and 8 hours to sleep.
He was a strong believer in the word and had a passion for reading and studying the bible.
His survivors are his wife, Annette C. (Jack) Myles; daughters, Margaret "Anne" (Darryl) Smith, Angela "Darlene" Myles and Cynthia "Shantel" Myles; sons, Ryan (Casara) Chew, Derrick Myles and Jacob (Monica) Myles; 19 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; siblings, John Myles, Howard Strothers, Ola White, Ethel McGowen and Myrtis Myles; uncle, Arthur Myles; aunt, Leola Harrison and multiple generations of nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; siblings, Eloise Baskerville, Lee E. Myles, Joseph Myles, Mary Hartfield, Mable Davis, Annie G. Keith, Willie J. "Sonny" Myles and Annie C. Walker and grandchildren, Sakina Myles and Jordan Chew.
Visitation on Friday from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 1124 Ontario Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY.
His remains will be flown to Uniontown, Alabama where he will be laid to rest in the Myles Family Cemetery on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.
