Raymond W. Catlin of Pekin, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021 at his residence. He was born in North Tonawanda, NY, on June 12, 1949, a son of the late Raymond and Verna [Greiser] Catlin.
Mr. Catlin graduated from North Tonawanda High School. He worked many jobs in area companies, retiring from Harrison Radiator as a proud UAW member after 31 years in 2001, as a floor inspector.
He liked to camp with his friends each year in the Adirondacks, and in his younger years taking motorcycle trips with his best friend Robert Dubuke. Mr. Catlin was renowned for his cooking, strong black coffee that he hand ground and being an avid reader. He described himself as a jack of all trades, using his talents to maintain his home through the years.
He is survived by his adoring wife of 29 years Alice F. [Holtzclaw] Catlin; his daughter of the heart Rebecca Stewart Garcia; Alice's children Megan Anne (Eric) Finkelstein and Michael Lee (Beth) Davis; grandchildren Jessica Lynn Davis and Monica Marie (Calum) Craig and nieces Amanda and Cas Waters; many cousins; and good friends.
Mr. Catlin was predeceased by sisters Sandra(Rudy) Waters, Lois(Donald) Gray, and Nancy Cross.
Private Funeral Services were held at the wishes of his family.
Memorials may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.
Interment in Mt. View Cemetery, Pekin.
