Richard "Dick" Kellick Obituary

Richard D. "Dick"  Kellick of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2020, at Northgate Health Care Facility.   He was born in Niagara Falls, NY,on December 27, 1935, the son of the late William and Margaret [Dolan] Kellick.

Dick attended local schools; a highly regarded three sport athlete, he graduated from the former Bishop

Duffy High School. He then went on to Holy Cross in Worcester, MA and was part of the ROTC

Air Force Program.    He graduated as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force.

On July 5th, 1958, he married Donna (Nashwinter) Kellick at Sacred Heart Church in Niagara Falls, NY.

After he completed his service time in the United States Air Force, he settled in Niagara Falls and

began working at the family print shop Kellick’s Printing on Main St. He and his sister Jean Kay

continued the family tradition of running the print shop, until they retired in 2008. Kellick’s Printing

served the Niagara community for over 90 years.

Dick was a long time member and usher at St. Raphael’s (formerly St. Teresa’s) Parish in Niagara Falls.

He also served in the Knights of Columbus, the Niagara Falls chapter of the Kiwanis Club, was not only

a member of the Niagara Falls YMCA, but served on its Board of Directors. He was a sponsor and coach

of Kellick’s Printing Angels in the Whirlpool Little League, a founding and long serving member of the

Main Street Business Association and helped many other community service groups. Dick lived his life

never saying no to any cause or person who needed his help.

Dick was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend. In addition to his wife of 62

years, he is survived by his children, Anne Kellick, Jean Kellick, Daniel (Gretchen) Kellick, and

Karen (Richard) Snyder, his grandchildren, a sister Jean Kellick Kay, also many nephews, nieces,

cousins, and friends.

He was predeceased by his brothers, William, John, and Robert and his sisters Mary Margaret and Ruth.

Friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10:00 AM at St. Raphael's

Parish, 3831 Macklem Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY, with the Rev. Ivan Skenderovic officiating.

Memorials may be made in his name to St.  Raphael’s Parish.

Interment with military honors will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
