Richard A. "Rick" DiVita

Of Lewiston, NY, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023.  He was born in Niagara Falls, NY,  on January 19, 1960, a son of the late Louis F. and Eileen T. [Carmody] DiVita.

Rick graduated from Niagara Falls High School and was the President of the class of 1978, he was also a star athlete in both football and baseball.

He was a millwright with Washington Mills for 29 years, retiring in 2022.

Rick was a long time season ticket holder for the Buffalo Bills and an avid follower of USC college football team and the St. Louis Cardinals.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years  Annette [Gatto]  DiVita, a daughter Ashley (Mike) Hardy, a grandson Michael, sisters Terri (Bill) Fortier, Mary (David) Bacha, Donna (Tom) Wrobel, Patricia DiVita, a brother Michael DiVita and was the brother in law of Tim (Pam), Rick (Nancy), Anthony (Chris), John (Beth) Gatto and Theresa (Doug) Thomas, also survived by many nieces, nephews and his extended family at Jonfres.

He was the brother of the late Louis F. DiVita, Jr.

His family will be present on Friday from 2-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY.

Everyone is  invited to attend Rick's Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10:00 AM at St. John de LaSalle Church, 8477 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY, with the Rev. James Kirkpatrick officiating.

Interment  in Gate of Heaven Cemetery,  Lewiston, NY.
